Pedal England Announces 2008 Tours

Pedal England’s iconic cycling tours for 2008 are:

Pedal Classic – From Stonehenge to Bath then through stunning Cotswold countryside, the Pedal Classic tour takes in 50-60 kilometres of gently undulating terrain on designated national cycle paths, byways and minor ‘B’ roads. The tour continues through to Moreton in Marsh and then to the birthplace of two of the most famous Englishmen in history, William Shakespeare and Winston Churchill at Stratford upon Avon and Blenheim Palace respectively. Finally, the tour finishes in the most famous university town in the world, Oxford.

Pedal Swift – From Stonehenge to Bath then through stunning countryside via Sudeley Castle, the home of Henry the Eighth’s wife Katherine Parr, to Moreton in Marsh. The Pedal Swift tour takes in up to 80 kilometres per day in slightly more challenging terrain, again on designated national cycle paths, byways and minor ‘B’ roads. The birthplace of William Shakespeare and Winston Churchill at Stratford upon Avon and Blenheim Palace are the next locations for the tour, which finishes in the most famous university town in the World, Oxford.

Pedal Light – The tour starts in Oxford with its dreaming spires and world famous University, through stunning Cotswold countryside including the beautiful towns of Burford, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh. The tour then takes in the birthplace of William Shakespeare and Winston Churchill at Stratford upon Avon and Blenheim Palace, staying at some of the most picturesque and well regarded hotels in the region before finishing again in Oxford.
