And when you’re not taking in all this wonderful heritage and culture you’ll be doing some fantastic cycling through calm countryside, enjoying the fresh air and spectacular scenery.

Pedal England through the Cotswolds My 15 year old daughter and I took the five day trip through the Cotswolds this August. We had a wonderful time. The rides were hilly and challenging for this out-of-shape cyclist, but just right for my daughter. The guides have me plenty of encouragement and I was able finish […]
Step inside the world of King and Queens when you take in everything Windsor has to offer. As the home to numerous monarchs for over 900 years, Windsor is packed with regal history at every turn.
Windsor is one of the Queen’s favourite homes and it’s castle is famous the world over. Dating back to 1066, the castle is an imposing structure on the landscape and a constant reminder of the power of past monarchs.
Windsor is also the site of Henry VIII’s grave and the vast Windsor Great Park. Our tour of Windsor gives you the opportunity to come away with a better understand about the Royal Family and the many past King’s and Queen’s which made Britain what it is today.
The inspiring university city of Oxford, where you’ll get a chance to visit the colleges and learn about its rich history on a walking tour. The city is over 800 years old, with tranquil parks and stunning architecture, this scholastic venue makes a fascinating place to visit.
Blenheim Palace is in the little town of Woodstock. Only eight miles from Oxford, Blenheim Palace is one of England’s most historic stately homes. The birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is a World Heritage Site, with an illustrious history and – for the visitor – glorious vistas. Its vast parkland, landscaped gardens and tranquil lakes are stunningly picturesque.
Experience the beauty of the Cotswolds. Its chocolate box villages are dotted amongst a patchwork quilt of fields and woods. This area of Outstanding Natural Beauty makes for the perfect cycle tour. It’s a region that offers the ideal landscape for any cyclist, its byways and idyllic villages make touring a joy. There are also bridleways and country lanes which create a wonderfully scenic cycling experience.
As you head for an excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon, you’ll get a chance to learn about the life of the great playwright William Shakespeare. There is also an opportunity to watch a play performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company (booking in advance is required).
This city is overflowing in history and classic architecture. The Roman Baths are a fascinating tourist attraction with their courtyards, temple and pump room. Another of Britain’s great authors, Jane Austen, perhaps most famous for Pride and Prejudice, also lived in Bath. Since then, it has been used as the backdrop to film adaptations of her novels. Another must-see sight is The Royal Crescent, its stunning Georgian architecture has housed many famous residents over the years.
The mysterious and ancient rocks of Stonehenge are one of Britain’s most treasured landmarks. This circle of prehistoric stones will leave you with a sense of wonder. Set in the truly beautiful Wiltshire countryside it makes a perfect stop on your cycle tour.
This is a great day for anyone who loves the costume drama Downton Abbey, and even if you don’t know the show the sights can’t fail to impress. You’ll ride over to Highclere castle, home to the fictional Crawley family and the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon in real life. After that they’ll be a chance to explore the beautiful village of Bampton which was used in many village scenes on the show.
